CAE’s on-site programs focus on women,
transgender1
people, teen women, trans-youth, and children.
Off-site we work with many individuals and
communities (including boys and men) experiencing
violence and the threat of violence.

Within all our teaching we strive to create
a diverse environment inclusive and welcoming
of people of all backgrounds, ethnicities,
cultures, ages, sexualities, abilities, body
types, gender identities, and histories. Who
we are informs how we learn and experience
training. Because of this, in all of CAE’s
programs and classes we work to create a non-competitive
setting in which students are encouraged to
progress together, but are given the space
to set and challenge their own limits –
whether physical, emotional, or spiritual.
We present a range of options for people’s
needs and abilities, but work to not impose
a hierarchy on them. In this way we support
all our journeys.
