Nordia
Community Engagement Specialist
(They / Them)
Nordia joined CAE’s team in October 2021 as the Upstander Program Manager and has now returned as a Community Engagement Specialist. They are a holistic spiritual practitioner with a Master of Divinity from Union Theological Seminary, trained in spiritual companionship, death doula care, yoga, and social justice facilitation.
Rooted in their lived experience as a Black queer womanist practitioner, Nordia reimagines spiritual care beyond binaries and institutional walls, drawing on ancestral wisdom and earth-based traditions. Their work integrates spirituality, embodied movement, and connection to the land—particularly through rooftop farming—as pathways for collective healing. They are committed to co-creating equitable, liberatory spaces that center BIPOC and LGBTQIA+ communities while welcoming all who value sacred inquiry and collective care.
Outside of their work, they find joy in long walks outdoors, time with chosen family, savoring iced matcha lattes, and immersing themselves in shows like Avatar: The Last Airbender.
