The Center for Anti-Violence Education is proud to present our beloved annual youth event, Ode to Community: Driven by Joy!  CAE’s Teen Programs: Peer Educators and PACT Activists are a diverse group of young people committed to preventing, interrupting, and healing from violence in our communities. Through teaching workshops, research, building community and personal growth, CAE teens build and share knowledge both as advocates and changemakers in NYC and beyond.

Given all the many reasons our communities see themselves impacted by the current administration, ICE raids, and more, CAE youth intend to create and host a space where joy, connection and grounding could be uplifted amidst all. Join us at Ode to Community, where we will celebrate the diverse, strong, resilient youth of NYC, grounded in joy.

Ode to Community will take place on Friday May 29th, from 3-7 PM at Prospect Park. The event will gather youth groups and youth partners from all over the city, where we will share resources, get to know each other, and educate each other on topics like immigration,  reproductive health, activism, restorative justice, anti-violence, and more.
