Peer Educators

Peer Educators is a stipended program that we offer for older high school aged youth. Along with adult instructors, these specially-trained Peer Educators take their violence prevention skills, social justice and community care frameworks in order to lead workshops for young people at schools and community centers. Our paid Peer Educators build their leadership and facilitation skills, while serving as important role models for young people. They can continue their training to become Assistant Instructors over time.

Peer Educators co-facilitate in 1:1 workshops or series partnerships to other young people in schools, community centers, foster care agencies and other organizations that work with youth across New York City.
